DetailsFor this session, you are invited to bring faecal samples to the Community Lab in the week of 11th to 15th May, then gather for a discussion of results on Mon 18th May at the Luppitt Inn.    The Community Lab is a facility available to all Luppitt farmers to improve animal health practices while reducing environmental impact.  It provides a space to carry out faecal egg counts (FECs), to help make informed decisions about parasite management.  If you know the actual worm burden in your sheep, you can use the correct wormer (anthelmintic), set the correct (and not excessive) dose, and help reduce resistance in livestock and unintended harm to wider biodiversity.
