Archive Material
Photos, films & stories
The Luppitt Landscape Project archive brings together a rich collection of memories, images, and stories that celebrate the life and history of the Luppitt valley across generations. Here you’ll find photographs and artworks generously shared by local artists and private collectors, alongside films and sound recordings uncovered during our research in regional archives—from Plymouth to the BBC. Our small team of volunteer researchers helped to create a series of story cards that capture personal histories, many of which were gathered through interviews, community drop in storytelling sessions, and contributions from residents themselves.
This project has enabled us to share just a small fraction of the remarkable archive that exists among those who live in the valley and within local collections, and we hope this is only the beginning of finding new ways to share Luppitt’s heritage more widely in the future.
