Story Cards
This section brings together all our story cards—short histories uncovered with the help of volunteer researchers Anne Lane, Kate Jarman and Sally Twiss.
Drawn from local archives, census records, newspapers and community memory, they reveal the breadth of Luppitt’s past: from Romany Gypsies to wartime farming and American searchlights in the Second World War, from horsehair thiefs to skylarks on Hartridge. Together, they offer a vivid snapshot of the people and events that have shaped Luppitt’s historical landscape.
